Brace Bands / Tension Bands

The most common causes of chain link sag are stretched or broken fabric, loose or failed tension bands at end or gate posts, a broken top rail, or a leaning post that has reduced fabric tension. Thrive diagnoses the specific cause during a repair assessment and addresses the structural source rather than just retensioning the fabric.

The metal fittings are tension bands (on end, corner, and gate posts — they hold the tension bar that stretches the fabric tight) and brace bands (on all posts — they hold rail-end fittings and brace rails). These are standard galvanized steel stamped hardware components sized to fit the post diameter.

Chain link hardware components — tension bands, brace bands, rail-end fittings, and tension bars — are standard catalog items available by post size and fence height. Replacement involves releasing the fabric tension, removing the old hardware, installing new hardware, and re-tensioning the fabric.
